2013 Market Summary for Cambridge, MA

The number of sales of residential property (condominiums, single families, and multi-families) in Cambridge decreased 2.72% in 2013, compared to 2012.

Total market volume increased by 7.28%. 2013 total volume was $761,959,491 compared to 2012 volume of $710,282,347.

The average sale price increased by 10.2%. The average sale price in 2013 was $731,950 compared to $663,815 in 2012.

The median sale price increased 15.46%. The median sale price in 2013 was $560,000 compared to $485,000 in 2012.

The lowest sale price was $148,000. The highest sale price was $8,380,000.

At the end of 2013, inventory was down 60.5% from 2012. On December 31, 2013, there were 32 units on the market. On December 31, 2012, there were 81 units on the market.
