Lexington is a historic suburb that is known as the birthplace of the American Revolution. Lexington’s many historic sites include Battle Green, The Old Belfry, The Buckman and Munroe Taverns, and Lexington Depot. Transportation options include easy access to Boston and Cambridge via Route 2 and proximity to the information technology and biotech hubs along Route 128 (aka Interstate 95). Most of the shops, services, and dining are located in Lexington Center. Many shops in this area are locally owned and have been in business for a very long time (50 – 100 years!).

Lexington has abundant green space including Arlington’s Great Meadows, numerous parks such as Sutherland Park, Tower Park, Muzzey Field, etc. The Minuteman Bikeway passes through the heart of Lexington and allows for walking, jogging, and cycling. The town also has several working farms including Lexington Farm, Meadow Mist Farm, and Wilson Farm.

Buyers are attracted to Lexington by its top-notch public and private schools. Private schools include the Waldorf School, The Lexington Montessori School, Lexington Christian Academy. Lexington High School ranked in the top 1% of all U.S. high schools for 2022 according to U.S. News & World Report.
